Levi’s Workshops
The program is conceived of as a series of community-based workshops, supported by a dynamic interactive platform that will allow broad participation. Each space is centered around a different communications craft and offered as a creative resource for neighborhood groups, artists and the general public. These are sites of production, provocation and creative expression, calling individuals with a vision for a New America to get to work.
The Mission, San Francisco: July 1 - August 31, 2010
SoHo, New York City: October 8 - December 15, 2010
Today’s pioneers are forging a new America of social justice, creative liberty, technological innovation, and environmental stewardship. These are rugged individuals who have made their own way through uncharted cultural territory. At each workshop, Levi’s invites several of these uncommon celebrities to translate their work into the medium at hand (print, photography, etc.) and execute projects that elaborate on something essential about the work they do.
